Boiler Solutions for Petroleum & Refineries

Oil & Gas Industry

Cleaver-Brooks designs and manufactures custom and shop-assembled modular solutions to meet the large steam-capacity and high-pressure needs of the oil and gas industry.

What Type of Boilers are Used in the Petroleum Industry?

Boilers are an essential component of operations in the oil and gas industry. They generate hot water and steam for drilling operations and are used in the refining process to heat crude oil and separate it into its various components.

Industrial watertube boilers (IWT) are engineered to handle the demands of the petroleum industry. Cleaver-Brooks manufactures the widest range of industrial watertube boilers (10,000 to 1,000,000 lb/hr), available in D-, A- and O-style configurations.

Both single- and dual-stage integral convective superheaters are available and can accommodate selective catalytic reduction (SCR) and CO catalyst.

Sustainable Solutions for the Oil and Gas Industry

Our industrial watertube boilers can fire renewable fuels such as renewable natural gas, biogas and hydrogen, we can retrofit your existing system to burn a renewable fuel.

With regard to emissions reduction, Cleaver-Brooks IWT boilers can achieve <2 ppm NOx with an ultra-low NOx burner and SCR equipment. Options are available to increase boiler efficiency by 5% on average.
